About

What we do
We study microbial communities in soils and aquatic environments to understand how they influence ecosystem processes and respond to environmental change. Our work combines field observations, laboratory experiments, and data analysis to explore the role of microorganisms in maintaining healthy and resilient environments.

Scientific approach
Our research integrates ecological theory, molecular techniques, and environmental measurements to investigate microbial diversity, function, and interactions across different systems. We emphasize interdisciplinary collaboration and rigorous scientific methods to address complex environmental questions.

Vision and goals
Our goal is to advance knowledge of microbial processes and contribute to solutions that support environmental sustainability, informed decision-making, and long-term ecosystem health. We aim to foster innovation, collaboration, and training for the next generation of scientists.

Inside the Lab

Our work focuses on understanding how microbial communities shape environmental processes across soils and aquatic systems. By combining field studies, laboratory experiments, and advanced analytical tools, we investigate how microorganisms respond to environmental pressures such as land use, pollution, and climate variability. Through this research, we seek to generate insights that support sustainable management practices, improve environmental monitoring, and deepen our understanding of ecosystem functioning.
